What it is
DTF means Direct-to-Film: artwork is printed onto transfer film, adhesive powder is applied and cured, and the design is heat-pressed onto apparel. The process supports full-color graphics without separate screens for every color.
Detailed, flexible transfers for mixed garments, short-to-mid runs, and complex artwork.
Direct-to-Film (DTF) is best for full-color artwork, smaller runs, mixed garment orders, hoodies, shirts, staff apparel, fan wear, and event merch. Dartmar uses DTF when a design needs detail, flexibility, or color that may not fit traditional screen printing.

Service Guide
Use DTF when your design needs full-color detail, gradients, or photo-style artwork across smaller runs or mixed garment types.
DTF means Direct-to-Film: artwork is printed onto transfer film, adhesive powder is applied and cured, and the design is heat-pressed onto apparel. The process supports full-color graphics without separate screens for every color.
Best for short runs, samples, merch drops, personalized pieces, photoreal designs, cotton/poly blends, hoodies, shirts, staff apparel, fan wear, event merch, and orders with mixed garment types.
Common products include tees, hoodies, crewnecks, polos, staff apparel, fan wear, event merch, and many cotton, polyester, and blended apparel blanks. Large-volume simple graphics may be better suited for screen printing; all-over polyester artwork may be better suited for sublimation.
High-resolution PNG, JPG, PDF, AI, or EPS files are helpful. Artwork is reviewed for garment color, transfer size, placement, resolution, and final production details before pressing.
DTF is often chosen for full-color artwork, smaller quantities, mixed garments, and flexible reorders. It gives DARTMAR another production path when screen printing or sublimation is not the best match for the artwork, fabric, or quantity.
Send your logo, roster, garment idea, or deadline. DARTMAR will help organize the details before production.
